Itinerant formation project aimed
at the training of Contemporary Performer.
It represents an AcroPhysicalTheatre intensive study experience and an opportunity to explore the movement and the body from a different point of view, putting in the centre the istinctive recovery process of the approach and the construction of the movement itself.
The choice of the name ResidenzaZero comes from the combination of: Residenza // underlining the importance of a dedicated time, a protected environment, ideal to strip oneself from his/her own business and get involved without being judged, which are the basic principles of each learning and transformation process.
Zero // which defines, symbolically, something needing to be shaped and, graphically, an uncontaminated, neutral container/space to be filled.
Hence the birth of ResidenzaZero, which aims to open a dialogue between physical/acrobatic language and contemporary dance and theatre, through the natural and dynamic process typical of the first years of life of a child. This instinctive ability leads the child to conquer independently the fundamental motor developmental goals, essential to construct the skeleton movement.
The language used will cover the Contemporary Acrobatics, AcroFloorwork and PhysicalContact areas, technical gestural expressions born from the transversal experiences made by Paolo Benedetti, Performer, Acrobat, Choreographer and Teacher of international experience.
The intent is to undress from any technique to allow the sincere recovery of the action perception, moving away from the cerebral and rational approach, regaining possession of the autonomy of the movement, necessary foundations on which, in a second phase, rest the technical skills of the various languages.
